Welcome to Shopmobility

Getting around Birmingham's shops and attractions is easy with Shopmobility.

Located on Level 2 (P2) of Bullring Centre Car Park, the service is ideal for anyone with mobility difficulties who wishes to get around the City Centre effortlessly.

A selection of equipment is available, ranging from electric scooters, electric wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs.

The service is available 7 days a week during the following times:

10am to 8pm

10am to 8pm

9am to 8pm

Sunday

11am to 5pm


Equipment available

The following types of equipment are available to hire.

Electric scooter
Range: 20 miles


Two types of scooters are available. Small for a max. user weight of 21 stone and large for a max user weight of 25 stone.

Please only select the large scooter if you really need it.

Electric wheelchair
Range: 25 miles

Folding wheelchair
Also available for holiday hire on request.

Regular users of the scheme can save £4 per hire by taking out Annual Membership for £15.

Please bring along one form of ID to purchase annual membership - such as a utility bill, driving licence or passport.

Car parking at Bullring is free for anyone hiring Shopmobility equipment - please see our member of staff to validate your ticket.

How to use the service

It's advisable to book Shopmobility in advance to avoid disappointment - although you can turn up on the day subject to equipment being available.

Ring and Ride Meet and Greet service

We offer a Meet and Greet service for any customers arriving by Ring and Ride.

Our staff will meet you from the dedicated bus stop in Edgbaston Street with the equipment of your choice.

We’ll also be on hand to collect your equipment and wait with you until your return bus arrives.

Advance booking is required. To use this facility, Ring and Ride customers should advise their Customer Service Operative when booking their journey.

Shopmobility is provided on behalf of Bullring by Accessible Transport Group (ATG).
